CPM Simulator Guide
Getting Started
- Click Initialize to create the cell population
- Click Start to begin the simulation
- Use Step for frame-by-frame advancement
- Adjust parameters in the controls panel
Cell Parameters
Filopodia: Number of Gaussian protrusions per cell. More filopodia = more irregular cell shape.
Velocity Scale: Controls how fast cells move. Higher values = faster but less stable simulation.
Contour Points: Resolution of the cell membrane. Higher = smoother but slower.
Environment
EVL: The Enveloping Layer boundary migrates downward, pushing cells.
DEB: The Dorsal Epiblast boundary converges upward.
Mechanotaxis: When enabled, cells experience a directional bias force toward stiffer substrate.
Visualization
Cells are colored by their index. Toggle contours, centers, and boundaries independently.
